Mentorship Programme Launches
Our new mentorship programme connects experienced legal professionals with students considering a career in law, helping to inspire and support the next generation.
Warwickshire Law Society is proud to launch its new Mentorship Programme, an initiative designed to inspire and support young people considering a career in law.
The programme will connect experienced legal professionals with students from schools and colleges across Warwickshire, providing guidance, encouragement and first-hand insight into life within the legal profession.
By sharing their knowledge and experiences, mentors will help students gain a better understanding of the opportunities available within the legal sector and the many different pathways into a legal career.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Choosing a career can be challenging, particularly for students with limited exposure to the legal profession.
Through regular mentoring sessions, volunteers will offer practical advice, answer questions and help students build confidence as they explore their future career options.
The programme aims to:
Inspire the next generation of legal professionals
Increase awareness of careers within the legal sector
Build confidence and develop employability skills
Strengthen links between the legal profession and local schools and colleges
Encourage greater diversity and accessibility within the profession
Making a Difference
Mentoring is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on a young person's future.
By volunteering just a small amount of time, mentors can provide invaluable support, helping students understand the realities of working in law while sharing the knowledge and experiences they've gained throughout their own careers.
Become a Mentor
We're delighted by the positive response we've already received from members wishing to take part in the programme.
If you're interested in becoming a mentor and supporting the next generation of legal professionals, we'd love to hear from you.
Together, we can help inspire, encourage and develop the future of our profession.
Supporting Compass Shine in 2026
We're proud to support Compass Shine as our Charity of the Year, helping to raise awareness and funds through events held across Warwickshire.
Warwickshire Law Society is proud to announce Compass Shine as its Charity of the Year.
Throughout the year, we will be supporting Compass Shine through a range of fundraising activities and events, helping to raise both awareness and vital funds for the important work the charity carries out across our local community.
By selecting a Charity of the Year, Warwickshire Law Society aims to make a positive contribution beyond the legal profession while encouraging members to come together in support of a shared cause.
Supporting Our Local Community
Compass Shine provides valuable support to people across Coventry and Warwickshire, making a real difference to individuals and families within our community.
As a Society, we recognise the importance of giving back and using our events to support organisations that have a meaningful impact locally.
Throughout the year, attendees at a number of Warwickshire Law Society events will have opportunities to contribute through fundraising initiatives, including raffles and charitable donations.
Fundraising Throughout the Year
Our Charity of the Year will be supported at a variety of Warwickshire Law Society events, including networking evenings, social events and other community activities.
Every ticket purchased, raffle entered and donation made helps us support the work of Compass Shine and the people they assist.
We are grateful to everyone who supports our fundraising efforts and helps make a difference.
Thank You
We look forward to working with Compass Shine throughout the year and sharing updates on our fundraising activities and the impact they help to create.
Together, we can continue to strengthen our legal community while making a positive difference across Warwickshire.
